Embrace Autumn with Us at the Hudson Valley Farm & Flea

Can you believe we’re halfway to September? I’m starting to see the first blush of rose on the top of our burning bush and fantasizing about the cozy, rich textures of my cool-weather clothes. While I’m still savoring summer, I have to admit I’m also eagerly anticipating autumn. 🍁

I’m especially excited because Three Birch Hill has been selected to participate in the 2024 Hudson Valley Farm & Flea! This special one-day event will take place on Saturday, October 12th, in the historic Museum Village of Monroe, NY. Why is this such a big deal? Beyond the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of local farmers, collectors, and makers, this event allows me to meet you in person! As a primarily virtual practice, this is a rare chance for us to connect face-to-face. I’m thrilled to showcase our exquisite pieces up close, where you can truly appreciate their craftsmanship and quality. But more importantly, this is a chance to share my passion for art, design, and a well-loved life with you.

As you plan your long weekend around Indigenous People’s Day, I hope you’ll set aside some time on Saturday to visit Monroe. It’s just over an hour from Manhattan. If you’re making a day trip, don’t miss the Farm & Flea, and take some time to explore Museum Village, which offers fun activities for kids like candle making. While you’re in the area, be sure to stop by Rushing Duck Brewery in Chester for a drink—it’s a local favorite!

For those planning a full weekend getaway, consider starting with Hudson Valley Farm & Flea on Saturday, followed by grabbing some apples at Roe’s Orchard on Sunday. Then, head up I-87 to Kingston for Field & Supply’s 10th-anniversary celebration. On your way home, don’t forget to visit Krause’s in Saugerties for their delectable maple sugar candies or maple cream chocolates.

I hope to see you there, but more importantly, I hope you find time for yourself, no matter what your plans are. Happy planning!
